CETAG completes turnkey installation of a 12,000 kg/h Rotary Dross Cooler at a major aluminum recycler in the Middle East — commissioned in record time.

The installation

The new unit was delivered, installed and commissioned as a turnkey package — from engineering and fabrication through to on-site commissioning. Engineered to efficiently cool aluminum dross from high temperatures to a safely manageable state, the system is built for maximum recovery, safety and efficiency.

Every hour dross stays hot, valuable metal is lost. The Rotary Dross Cooler reverses that: rapid indirect cooling recovers valuable metal before it deteriorates — no water, and no flame contact with the dross.

The top-of-range RDC (CETAG 1200) features three-way cooling including an emergency system. For the operator, that means predictable batch cycles, a safer casthouse floor and metal that goes back into the furnace instead of the slag pit.
